Who are we?

Picture
The Hispanic Society of Victory (HSV) was founded in 1952, this is already 67 years ago, by a small but organized group of enthusiastic volunteers, Australians, Spaniards and Latin Americans interested in promoting and learning more about the Hispano-Latin American culture. As a non-profit society we aim to:

  • Promote knowledge and study of the Spanish language.
  • Promote the Latin American Hispanic multicultural encounter around the Spanish language.
  • To provide instances of meeting where the language and our Hispanic-American culture is the axis of our coexistence. Offer an opportunity for Spanish speakers to come together.
  • Establish and promote links of associativity with other Victoria institutions that have similar objectives.
  • Promote cultural exchange between Australians, Spaniards and Latin Americans.
  • Reg. No .: A0051834E

Recent events of the HSV worth highlighting

An attentive and warm greeting to each and every one of the members of the Hispanic Society of Victoria, to our friends and frequent collaborators, on behalf of the newly elected board of directors, which has committed itself to make its best efforts to strengthen and make highlight the activities of our society.

For all those friends who, for different reasons, have not had the opportunity to visit us and participate in our last 3 Tertulias, we have celebrated Mexico in March, El Salvador in April and Colombia in May. All in a very festive atmosphere that has had great exhibitors, beautiful traditional Hispano-American music, and delicious dishes of typical food, everything as usual and characteristic of our Tertulias.
