WHAT
WE DO
Via engaging social activities we foster a love and understanding of Latin American and Spanish cultures, both traditional and contemporary, Indigenous and non-Indigenous.
PROGRAMS & PROJECTS.
We promote and foster Latin American and Spanish (indigenous and non indigenous) cultures, languages and stories via specially curated arts and community engagement activities.
Tertulias
Are our regular monthly events hosted in the Box Hill Community Arts Centre. They are dedicated to celebrate a country or a particular cultural topic. Each tertulia includes entertainment and a small supper.
Outings
At times, we venture out to join other events such as movie nights like the Palace Cinemas Spanish Film Festival, Melbourne Filmoteca Events, Latin restaurant nights and festivals.
Special Events
Once a year we celebrate our anniversary in a Gala Night with the best of Spanish and Latin American music, dance and food. Other events include family picnics, Christmas celebrations and in February we host our Annual General Meeting (AGM), where members are encouraged to vote the Committee of Management. The AGM is followed by a free meal and social mingling.
